Refera gives users workflow tools, not legal or brokerage advice. Before working a referral, each party should confirm the following with their broker, managing broker, counsel, association, MLS, or state regulator as appropriate.
- You are properly licensed for the activity you are performing.
- Your brokerage permits the referral and approves the receiving/referring arrangement.
- The parties use any required brokerage, association, state, local, or cross-border referral paperwork.
- The referral fee, term, expiration, payment timing, tax treatment, and client coverage are clear in writing.
- Client information is shared only when authorized and only with the right recipient.
- Any advertising, fair housing, anti-discrimination, agency, confidentiality, and recordkeeping duties are satisfied.

04Reporting and takedown guidance
Include enough detail for review without posting unnecessary sensitive information.
- For a listing issue, include the listing title, market, visible facts, and why it appears inaccurate or improper.
- For a workspace issue, include the workspace context and the specific conduct or message at issue.
- For a license issue, include public licensing facts, state, brokerage information, and the reason for concern.
- For a privacy request, identify the account email and the action requested.
- For intellectual property concerns, identify the protected work, the allegedly infringing content, and your authority to act.

Refera is currently in public free beta. Use the relevant workspace where possible, or contact the support, privacy, or legal mailbox above for reports, moderation, privacy requests, takedown requests, and legal notices.
