Bring an agent to Refera and you earn half of their first monthly payment, then 25 percent of every payment they make for as long as they remain a paying member. Commissions count only on money Refera has actually collected, become payable 30 days after the payment, and go out weekly through Stripe once you pass $25. Fraud voids them.
01The Program
The Refera referral program pays you for bringing new paying members to the platform. When a person you refer creates an account through your referral link or code and becomes a paying member, you earn commissions on their payments under the rules on this page.
- Participation requires a Refera account in good standing.
- Receiving payouts also requires completed payout setup as described in section 04.
- By sharing a referral link or code, you accept these terms.
These terms are titled Referral Program Terms, version 1, effective July 2026. They sit alongside the Terms of Service, which continue to apply to your account.
02Commissions
Commissions are a share of what a member you referred actually pays Refera for their membership:
- First monthly payment: you earn 50 percent of a referred member's first monthly payment.
- Every payment after that: you earn 25 percent of every later payment they make, for as long as they remain a paying member.
- Annual payments: payments on an annual plan earn a flat 25 percent, including the first one.
The program is single level only. You earn on members you referred directly, and on nothing else. Nobody earns from anyone else's referrals, and there are no downlines, tiers, or overrides.
03When Commissions Become Payable
Commissions are computed only on money Refera has actually collected. A pending, failed, or disputed charge earns nothing until the money clears.
- A commission becomes payable 30 days after the payment it is based on. This matches the 30 day money back guarantee on memberships.
- If a payment is refunded or charged back, the commission on it is reversed.
- That reversal applies even after a payout. If a reversed commission was already paid to you, the amount becomes a clawback and is deducted from your future earnings.
04Payouts
Payouts run weekly through Stripe. The minimum payout is $25; a balance below $25 rolls over to the following week until it crosses the minimum.
- Payout setup requires identity verification and tax information, both collected through Stripe.
- United States persons receive a Form 1099 where the law requires one. You are responsible for any taxes on your program earnings.
- Earned commissions that are not yet payable, or that are frozen under section 05, are not included in a payout.
05Fraud and Program Abuse
The program pays for real agents genuinely brought to Refera. The following are prohibited:
- referring yourself, including through a second account;
- creating fake, duplicate, or unlicensed accounts to generate commissions;
- incentivized signups, such as paying people to join or covering their membership to farm commissions;
- misleading signups, meaning any signup obtained by misrepresenting Refera, its pricing, or these terms.
If Refera suspects fraud, your program earnings freeze while we review. If fraud is confirmed, the affected commissions are void, and Refera may remove you from the program and may terminate your account under the Terms of Service.
06Changes to These Terms
Refera may update these terms prospectively as the program, business, or law changes. Updates get a new version number and effective date on this page.
Changes are not retroactive: commissions you have already earned keep the terms they were earned under. New rules apply to referrals and payments from their effective date forward.
